Tool Store Policy
These rules apply to every tool submitted to the public Pabble Tool Store.
1. Original work only
You may only submit tools that you built yourself on Pabble. Do not submit tools you installed from the Tool Store, duplicated from a shared link by someone else, or copied from another platform. Every submission must be your own work.
2. Accurate title and description
The title, description, category, and preview image must accurately reflect what the tool actually does. Do not use clickbait, misleading claims, or keyword stuffing.
3. Safe and legal
You agree not to submit tools that:
- Contain malware, obfuscated code, or hidden network calls
- Attempt to phish, steal credentials, or exfiltrate data
- Target, harass, or harm individuals or groups
- Facilitate illegal activity in any jurisdiction
- Contain sexually explicit, violent, or hateful content
4. No trademark or copyright abuse
Do not use logos, brand names, or protected assets you do not own or have permission to use. Tools impersonating other companies or products will be rejected.
5. No private keys or secrets
Never hardcode API keys, passwords, tokens, or any other secrets into the tool. Anything you submit is visible to anyone who installs it.
6. Snapshots are frozen
When a submission is approved, a snapshot of the tool’s code and metadata is frozen in the Store. Edits you make to your private copy do not change the published version. To update a published tool, submit a new version through the “Submit to Tool Store” dialog with a version number and changelog.
7. Updates and versioning
Every resubmission of an already-approved tool is treated as an update and must include:
- A version number higher than the current live version
- A changelog listing what was added, changed, or fixed in that version
Approved updates supersede the previously live version. The old snapshot is marked “superseded” but preserved for audit.
8. Review process
Every submission — new or update — is reviewed by the Pabble team before going live. While a submission is pending, you cannot resubmit the same tool. Withdraw the pending submission first if you need to make changes.
9. Rejections and takedowns
Pabble may reject a submission or remove an already-approved tool at any time if it violates this policy, infringes on rights, or poses a risk to users. Creators will be notified of the reason when possible.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as the Tool Store evolves. Continued submissions after an update imply acceptance of the new version.
